Brown Butter White Chocolate Caramel Sea Salt Cookies
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, browned
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 tablespoons heavy cream
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1/2 bag of Trader Joe's Caramel sea salt chips
1/2 bag of white chocolate chips
Directions
Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Continue cooking the butter until it turns a deep golden brown color and releases a nutty aroma. Be sure to stir occasionally to prevent it from burning. Once the butter is browned, remove it from heat and let it cool slightly.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, white sugar, and the slightly cooled brown butter. Mix until well combined.
Add the vanilla bean paste (or vanilla extract) to the bowl and mix it in.
Next, add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then add the heavy cream and mix until fully incorporated.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and cornstarch. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
Now, fold in the Trader Joe's caramel sea salt chips and white chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.
Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 10-12 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown. The centers may seem slightly underbaked, but they will firm up as the cookies cool.
Once baked, remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Enjoy these delightful brown butter, white chocolate caramel sea salt cookies with a glass of milk or your favorite hot beverage!
